COMPLIANCE and TESTING

SnappBattTM tile roofing shims are a rot-resistant polypropylene shims (spacers) that snap onto the tile, elevating the tile off the deck approximately 3/8" and then the standard fastener is fastened through the SnappBattTM shim and tile as typical.  The TRI* classification as a "spacer" precludes it having to meet any reference to the AC-200, wood batten or shim designations.  The submission of test data from PRI Labs* to any local building official should be sufficient to support the ability to adequately perform under the anticipated wind loads.

WIND UPLIFT and CRUSH TESTS

We completed uplift testing at PRI Construction Materials Technologies, LLC in Tampa, Florida. The chart below lists our values with a smooth standard nail, ring-shank nail and also one screw. We believe these are some of the best values to date for an elevated system.  We also tested our load capacity and averaged 223 pounds per square foot.
